Apple Week Roundup and Giveaway!
Recipes from last year’s Apple Week and an introduction to this year’s Apple Week Roundup and Giveaway.
Do y’all know about Apple Week? I first participated last year. I’m not sure how many years it’s been running. I do know that it will continue to build and get more participants every year. It also helps that it has a great coordinator! Carlee from Cooking with Carlee is awesome and puts up with all our issues and questions every year. And recipe title changes last minute. Just sayin…
Since I’ve been planning for this event since the one last year, I didn’t have any title changes. At least not yet. I haven’t finished all my recipes just yet, so there could be a change. We’ll just have to see how that last recipe goes.
I don’t know about you, but I love apples! Apples are the predecessor to fall and cooler weather. I’m all about cooler weather. I cannot stand summer, but y’all know that.
So, when Apple Week comes around, I know it’s almost fall. Apples are typically in season in fall around these parts. And it’s really a two-fer. I love fall and I love apples! All their sweet and fiber filled goodness is the perfect snack and ingredient for a recipe.
You can use apples in sweet or savory baked goods. They can go into fried recipes or even beverages! I’ve made tea and a shrub with apples. They’re great to pair with cheese in these phyllo cups.
This is not a bush. It’s a shrub. A shrub is an infusion of fruits or vegetables into vinegar to use in making cocktails. I made this shrub for Apple Week last year. I used the last of it for some delicious apple coleslaw.
While you’re sipping this shrub, you can enjoy these Apple Brie Triangles. They’re crispy, creamy, and full of sweet apples.
Your kids won’t kind giving up some of their Halloween candy this year. Not if you make this Snickapplebutterway Salad, they won’t!! When I was a kid, we used to get apples, but I don’t think they’re given out any more. That was the inspiration for this recipe.
One of my favorite Danish flavors is an apple Danish. I love the crispy puff pastry and sweetened cheese filling in this Crispy Apple Cheesecake Danish.
Want something savory with your apples? Try these Turkapple Burgers? They’re packed with apple flavor. There’s also a bonus recipe for the sauce that’s irresistible.
You can’t talk apples unless your talk about caramel apples! I made some Black Magic Caramel Apples a few years ago that look so awesome and taste delicious.
Here’s another savory recipe with apples. Inspiration from apple bratwurst and chicken breakfast sauce, I made these Chicken Apple Brat Burgers. There’s a special blend of spices that goes into these yummy burgers.
Finally, there’s a grilled cheese. Apples are great in grilled cheese because they can hold up during cooking and add that sweet and crisp flavor that pairs well with many cheese. Apple Cheddar Grilled Cheese will be a family favorite.
This leads me to the lovely giveaway our sponsors have offered up for our readers!!

I know!! Apples are one of my FAVORITE foods.
Great round up of apple recipes. I love the Snickapplebutterway Salad!
Thank you! I enjoyed. Not sure the hubs did, though. LOL It was rather sweet for him.
This year looks to be just as delicious as last year. Great idea to round-up last years recipes!
Doesn’t it? I can’t wait. I love this event.
I add apples to my all my seasonal cheesecakes. But I love apples w/ Jarlsberg & almonds for a snack.
Mmmmmm Jarlsberg. I haven’t had that in a while.
Thanks, Christie! It’s been fun getting in the apple spirit and seeing just how versatile they are. Everyone is so creative and of course your apple goodies all look amazing!
Thank you for hosting and coordinating this event this year! I know it was a lot of work.
