I am diabetic and looked for a savory baked oatmeal , I am so glad I tried this one today!!! It is a real keeper! It is very adaptable I think, I had only Mexican blend cheese in the fridge. Also, I make my own breakfast sausage meat and freeze it in 1 lb packages, I used that. My hubby is a picky eater and thought this was crazy to make…. he said this is a def keeper!!!!
