Remove some of the soup before you add the cream and freeze. Add the cream when you reheat.

That’s awesome!! I am jealous of all the fresh seafood y’all have. I’m not that close to a shore and most of what we get is fresh frozen which sucks. I hope you liked the chowder!

I made it for Fat Tuesday. I tweaked it a bit for our liking, added 1/2 pound of Shrimp, and used 1/2 lb of crab instead of all crab. Used creamed corn, and added onion/celery/carrot. Also used Russet potatoes instead of frozen. Used a little corn startch to thicken it up. Goes great with bacon Cornbread. YUM! Thank you *****

I just made it and it’s amazing! I didn’t use any sausage but I added onions, celery and cherry tomatoes to give it my own twist. It is so delicious; I will definitely be making this chowder again.
