Bean and Basil Pesto Penne

Sharing is caring!

*disclaimer has been drinking*

And we’re watching US play Honduras.  Soccer. Gotta love it!  S knows more about it than I do.  I played it for 2 years.  Scored ONE goal and tripped on my own two feet on the way back to the other side.

I played defense and the coach always had me moving father and and farther towards center to force the other team to be off sides.  Of course, I would always get a yelled at and told to move back by the refs.  It was …. well…youth sports.  That’s about all I can say.

Tuesday was rough.  Wednesday was better.  Bossman apparently spoke with the crapty trainer of tasks and understands this monthly process a little better.  Though FY 12 is still facked.  I can’t help that.

Okay…I’m just gonna say I DID NOT vote for the current pres and WOULD NOT vote for him again even if it was an option.  Because of the current state of the economy, I’ve had to go through this process EVERY MONTH this fiscal year when we usually have only had to report these numbers once a quarter.

Having to report monthly means we hear a lot of “That’s not right.  Fix it!” with no instructions as to HOW to fix it.  Or even what numbers are wrong half the time.

And now S is snoring.  I’m beat.  He’s snoring.  How in the world does that happen???  I could easily pass out right about now, but here I sit, typing away.  Yes.  I AM crazy thank you for asking.

Yes, this is a very random, train of thought post.  DEAL!  LOL

So, Mom’s coming this weekend.  She’s bringing some stuff I wasn’t able to cram into the truck the last time we saw her.  Is it wrong to say I am the most interested in the sewing machine as opposed to all the family heirlooms?  LOL  I mean.  Grandmother’s china is gorgeous and would be very pretty in our curio cabinets.  But the sewing machine??  One that does more than back and forth?  Holy gonna get my Project Runway on!  I’ve had this sari fabric sitting in my closet for YEARS that I’m dying to make something out of.  My little basic machine just was not worthy.

Woo Hoo!  US plays the winner of Mexico v Panama game!  USA USA USA

Okay.  The HUGE hoopla over the new heir to the UK throne.  Um.  It’s a baby.  Yes I know it’s not often that an heir to a throne is born.  I can’t say that I’m not excited and I know Diana is just up there smiling away and watching over the wee one, but WOW psycho news.  Part of me wants to say just let them be!  The other half wants to know the addy to send a sweater.  LOL  They’re people.  They really shouldn’t be plastered all over God’s green earth.  If we could only get as excited about poverty and hunger in this country something might actually be done.

Okay…soap box put away and drunk arse is going to bed.  I may change this post in the AM when I’ve had a clear head.  LOL
