Sorry for the confusion! The divided is for egg white to brush the pastry with when assembled. The egg white is listed later in the recipe ingredients and instructions.

It also calls for 1 egg large egg white, slightly beaten. Is this an additional eggs’ egg white, or one from the divided 2 eggs previously called for? If so, are we adding 2 yolks and 1 egg white to the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla? I ask because when made with 2 whole eggs, I have a cream cheese soup mixture. I ended up adding another 8 ounces of cream cheese, but it is still pretty soupy. I also used the whisk attachment on my Kitchen Aid stand mixer to try and emulsify the egg to thicken the filling, but it did not do much.

I don’t see that anyone else has claimed to have made this recipe, so just wondering if I am the first person to notice this issue. This stinks because I don’t think this is going to work now and I am completely out of cream cheese!
