I told you I was on a bit of a Greek kick, didn’t I? I wasn’t kidding. Just wait. I did the Greek Panzanella this week. These Greek Style Burgers were this week, and then there’s Greek something tomorrow. If you follow in Instragram you got a sneak peak.

You see, it all started with an idea for the #SundaySupper Idaho Potato sponsored event. I ask to participate in ALL these types of events, but haven’t been picked so far. But, It just thought since I had a pretty neat idea for a potato salad, which is the theme for this event, I’d just make it and post it anyway! What harm can it do? I won’t be compensated, but that’s fine with me! I just wanted an excuse to cook with potatoes. Yes, apparently this person needs an excuse to cook with potatoes.

So, then I thought, “What goes best with potato salad? BURGERS!” Then I wondered what would go in it, how would it taste, what type of condiments, if any. And voila! These Greek Style Burgers were born!

I must confess, it was a bit of a fail night. Since we have a one butt kitchen, it’s usually just me in there and I think I could have honestly used a second set of hands to help out. Needless to say, we got home later than usual and ate WAY later than usual because I was lazy and didn’t prep the salad before hand, like I planned. *shrugs* C’est la vie!

Yup. They got a bit browned due to the tomato pesto and the pan I was using. I should have used the other skillet and not the waterless ones. Well, that’s not true. I should have watched the temp on the skillet more. I forget that I need half the amount of heat under those pans. And I honestly thought I could get more in the pan than I did. This added the time it took to cook. Don’t do what I did and use a larger skillet. LOL

I was thinking of whipping up another batch of the feta spread that I used in my Albanian Qofte Sliders, but I didn’t have an extra hand for that. I refer you back to paragraph 4. Just sayin.

  1. I love potatoes. I am sorry you did not get picked for the Idaho thing. But you know eventually you will. Anyway I am focused on the burger. Now that is one super burger! Nice and thick and filled with interesting
flavors. This burger would make a wonderful menu item for a restaurant that serves burgers,, because I have never seen one quite like this one. Good Going!

    1. Not too worried about it Carol! I still LOVE participating in #SundaySupper! I'm still pretty noob to the brand/blogger thingy.

I was thinking the same thing about burger joints. There are so many amazing flavor styles, but truly haven't seen one like this on a menu.

Thanks for the kuddos and stopping by! <3
