Have you heard of Degustabox?  I’m sure you’ve seen their ads on Facebook, right?  No?  Just my feed then?

Okay, let me tell you about them.  Degustabox is a subscription box service.  They send about 10 to 15 products once a month.  Now these aren’t tiny little samples either.  These are full size products.  I literally received a WHOLE box of cereal in my box.  There was a whole package of flour and a whole jar of mayonnaise.  Not to mention the entire bag of cow tales I received.

Their guarantee is that your subscription price is lower than the value of the products you receive, and with my first box they held up to that guarantee.

Degustabox Subscription Box

I received:

  • Sir Kensington’s Chipotle Mayonnaise
  • ALO Drink Allure Pulp Free Mangosteen and Mango
  • Popchips Ridges Cheddar and Sour Cream
  • Goetze’s Candy Co, Inc Mini Cow Tales
  • JM Smucker White Lily White Grape and Wheat Flour
  • Post Honey Bunches of Oats Strawberry
  • Oregon Chai Chai Tea
  • Loacker Rose of the Dolomites
  • Goya Foods, Inc Maria Cookies
  • Vermont Smoke & Cure Mini Meat Sticks Pepperoni and Cracked Pepper
  • Instavit Sweet Sleep

Yeah, I know.  That’s a lot of stuff!!  Honestly, this subscription box is worth the cost of admission.  I’ve tried several in the last few years and have been underwhelmed, but Degustabox really overwhelmed me with such a great selection of products from all over!

Vermont Smoke & Cure Mini Meat Sticks Pepperoni and Cracked Pepper & Goetze’s Candy Co, Inc Mini Cow Tales

Of course, I had to bust open those mini meat sticks and try them immediately!!  I even shared them with the hubs.  They were delicious!!  Vermont Smoke & Cure Mini Meat Sticks do not have that greasy feeling I get from those other meat sticks.  Nope, not with these.  They’re made with lean beef, pork or turkey and all their meat is antibiotic and hormone free and fed a vegetarian diet.  You know what I’m talking about; it feels like you just ate a spoon of lard.  This makes them super tasty and the perfect little nibble for an afternoon snack or to keep in your bag for any time you need just a little something extra to keep you going until your next meal.  For someone with low blood sugar like me, it’s worth it’s wait in gold.

Since there was a whole bag of the Goetze’s Candy Co, Inc Mini Cow Tales, I took those to work to share with my co-workers.  They’re always delicious with their cream centered caramel bites!  I hadn’t had one in a long time and they’re a nice little bite of sweet to have after lunch or after cereal or after you finish a task or…well, whenever.

Same with the Loacker Rose of the Dolomites candies.  They have delicious milk chocolate with hazelnut pieces.  Now, I’m not one for milk chocolate.  I’m a dark chocolate kind of girl, but this milk chocolate is not super sweet, it’s perfectly creamy, and you can tell it’s made with quality ingredients.  And those little bits of hazelnut makes these roses rich and delicious.

ALO Drink Allure Pulp Free Mangosteen and Mango Popchips Ridges Cheddar and Sour Cream Loacker Rose of the Dolomites

The ALO Drink Allure Pulp Free Mangosteen and Mango drink and Popchips went to work with me, too.  I put the ALO in the fridge to drink after my coffee.  I was skeptical.  I’ve tried many of those “waters” out there that are so popular, make such interesting claims, but for me just doesn’t live up.  ALO is something I will look for now.  It was delicious.  It wasn’t too sweet, didn’t have any fake taste, and I did feel quenched after drinking it.  The mangosteen and mango was super light and refreshing.  I can’t wait to try their other flavors.

Now, what can I say about Popchips that hasn’t been said already.  They’re awesome.  I love them.  There hasn’t been a flavor I’ve tried that I truly did not enjoy.  These smarter alternatives to fried potato chips never disappoint with their flavor and crunch.  And these Ridges with Cheddar and Sour Cream would be perfect for a yogurt based dip.  Especially with the cheddar and sour cream flavor already.  So so good.  I’m putting a big bag of these on my grocery list.

Another things that’s on my grocery list is a box of Post Honey Bunches of Oats Strawberry cereal.  I ate all of the strawberry I received and loved it so much that I will be buying several boxes of some of their other flavors.  I’ve had their cereal before and it’s so deliciously crunchy and sticks with me until lunch, which is good for me!!  Those little clusters are addictive with or without milk.

Now, on to the mayonnaise.  The Sir Kensington’s Chipotle Mayonnaise is a jar full of smoky, creamy goodness.  It’s perfect with sandwiches.  Or use it to coat some chicken or pork before breading and baking.  OH yeah.  It’s so good.  It definitely kicks up anything you put it with; lunch meat, chicken, veggies, tuna salad, chicken salad, deviled eggs.  Literally anything.

There’s two items I haven’t had a chance to try yet.  I haven’t busted open the Goya cookies and Oregon chai.  I thought I had another week for the ice cream cake, but didn’t.  So everything came to a screeching halt so I could get that post out.  I was mortified!!!  But, I’ll make up for it with social sharing throughout the campaign and hopefully can get some IG shares on it, too.

And now, to prevent this from being the longest post ever, the flour was interesting to cook with.  I read that in subtle baked goods, you can taste the grapes in the flour.  Of course, I made banana bread, so no subtle flavors there…  You can easily see that it’s slightly darker than regular flour probably due to the wheat in the blend, but it felt and baked up just like regular flour.

This banana bread is fabulous!!  I am convinced it’s the flour.  I made sure there was enough liquid to compensate for the grape and what flours.  So, it’s more than moist!!  And since there’s whole wheat flour, it’s a great mid morning or afternoon snack.  I was even eating it as a sweet nibble after lunch.  It is THAT good.  Honestly, just look at it!!  Even after a week, it still moist and delicious.  You can’t go wrong with this recipe and this flour.
