Slow Cooker Red Beans and Rice

Okay, so this is the second slow cooker rice and beans recipe I’ve tried. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s the sausage that makes it taste funny. It also gets way too cooked and sometimes hardens. Add it about an hour before it’s done to prevent it from turning hard or dark brown. Otherwise, the beans were really good!!
