I have made this 3 times now and each time I improve. At 1hour and 45 minutes I preheat my oven at 475. At 2 hours I put the bread into the preheated oven for 20 minutes to brown. My friend tried it and wanted the recipe before she left. I sent home with some of my starter.

Great recipe! I found that it took longer than 2 hours in my slow cooker on high. I won’t be sure how long until I do it a second time, I cooked it 2 hours and it wasn’t quite done so I switched it to the oven since it was late at night

Can you use bread mixes. I have a sour dough mix that just needs yeast and water.
