Lemon cookies with White Chocolate

from Carrie at A Mother’s Shadow

White Chocolate Lemon Cookie

I was searching for a good lemon cookie and came across this one at Jamie Cooks It Up; I was not disappointed. This recipe is so easy because you begin with a cake mix! Add in a few fresh ingredients and these little treasures are hard to stay out of. Moist, soft, wonderful, a little tart with a bit of sweet — simply fabulous.

Grilled Sesame Chicken Kabobs | summer of the kabobs

from A Dash of Sanity

Grilled Sesame Chicken Kabobs | healthier version of our favorite Chinese Take-Out recipe

The theme for this grilling season in the McCollum house is: Summer of the kabobs! And this is for a few simple reasons: Healthy. Easy. Quick. Variety. Yummy & fun to eat for all ages! Our favorite Chinese food is sesame chicken, so here is a grilled & healthier version.

Enjoy!

Blue Crochet Granny Square Blanket

from Julie’s Lifestyle

Hi Friends, I hope you all had a nice long weekend. I had been working on this crocheted blanket for a while and I’m almost finished making it. I just need to add a border around the blanket. I was inspired to make this blanket from a blogging friend Darlene at Let it Shine and to see her blog, blanket, and pattern, you can click HERE.

Nighttime Skincare Routine

from The Beauty Section

Nighttime Skincare Routine

I make sure I always remove my makeup before washing my face. Even if you are way too tired to wash your face with a cleanser at least try to use a makeup wipe to remove oil, dirt, and makeup before you sleep, if you don’t wear makeup you should still do this. I can’t tell you how many makeup remover wipes I’ve been through. I try a new brand basically every time I run out so the brand isn’t the focus here, they just need to work.

Are We Starving The Hearts Of Our Children?

from Deep Roots at Home

Are We Starving The Hearts Of Our Children?, boys roasting hotdogs, campfire, camping out, firelight, Jim Daly, painting, a child's life,

My heart is breaking for the souls of our children. I am thinking there might be a negative reaction from readers on this topic, but I need to speak the truth. For what is the use of a blog if not to influence our culture? Please do not confuse this with me thinking I have all the answers. I know I don’t, but there is trouble already in the making.

Homemade Cake – Olaf from Frozen

from Fun Finds for Families

Homemade cake

I’ve been making homemade cakes every year for each kid’s birthday – and it’s one of my favorite parts of celebrating. Coming up with a unique birthday cake idea, planning the execution of all the little details and putting the plan into action – and of course, seeing the final results. I love to watch the reactions of my kiddos and to see their excitement at their special cake.

Blueberry Coffee Cake

from The “Fix It” Stitch

How do you usually say thank you to someone? Or tell someone that you’re thinking about them? What do you do when you’re feeling stressed or overjoyed? What’s your favorite hobby? Favorite thing to do with the kids? What do you catch yourself looking at the most on the internet?

Magnetic Chore Charts

from Thrifty Crafty Girl
Trying to keep the kids on track with their chores is serious work. I mean, I can’t keep track of everything we’re supposed to do in a day, how can I expect the kids to remember all their chores? And I can’t tell you how many times they couldn’t remember if they had completed the chore or not…which means they sometimes do the same one twice for no good reason. I had to do something!

Mac N Pimento Cheese

from Miz Helen’s Country Cottage
When my friend Amy Green of Simply Sugar and Gluten Freecame out to visit me one weekend, she said what is the secret in your pantry? I told her to look in the pantry and see if she could figure it out, when she finished her inventory; she declared it was the pimento, because I had more pimento on my pantry shelf than they have in the super market. (We laughed and laughed) She was right I am apt to put pimentos in anything, we just love them. Another dish we love is Mac N Cheese, so why not make a dish that made both of these a star. Hope you love it as much as we do.

Medium Walk In Closet Organization

from kjaggers.com

Hello friends! I am back today with a closet organizational video. I have a medium size walk in closet which was just not working for me so I pretty much changed almost everything about it. I was having trouble keeping my clothes and accessories organized so I got busy with making some changes! If you want to see my updated closet tour with organizational ideas, enjoy the video!

Breakfast Rellenos Tacos

from Soup Spice Everything Nice
Chili Rellenos Tacos are not just for dinner anymore! This morning I was doing a little experimenting with leftover grilled poblano peppers. It turned out so good I stopped munching and went to get the camera. See the bite missing from the taco screen left? These photos come to you mid-munch. The cheesy eggs in the smoky poblano are amazing! I love the fresh tomato, green onion and cilantro garnish too. You almost don’t need the sour cream if the eggs are cooked moist but I love the tang and cooling effect it has on the pepper. This is a recipe I will keep experimenting with. I think there are so many more additions that would be good too. Bacon? Sausage? Re-fried beans? A squeeze of lime? The possibilities are endless. I think next time a see nice poblanos I will buy enough to cover the grill. You know grill a bunch! Create a stockpile of grilled poblanos for future tacos. I think that is a great idea, how about you? Chili Rellenos Tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chili Rellenos Tacos for all!

15 Cool and Clever Ikea Hacks

from Little Red Window

15 Cool and Clever Ikea Hacks | littleredwindow.com

I recently booked a moving company for our move and was reading their damage coverage policy where it said they won’t cover any damage to “pressed wood furniture (i.e. Ikea furniture)” because it isn’t meant to be moved. And I laughed because well, that’s basically all we own! I have learned a lot of about how to live with and love Ikea and other assemble-it-yourself furniture which might perhaps be a separate post but my #1 tip? Avoid veneer and only buy the solid wood pieces! But my favorite thing about build-it-yourself furniture is all the potential to customize it! Of course, my most popular Ikea hack is O’s play kitchen but we also made a whole curving wall of built-ins out of the ever popular Billy bookcase and that’s not even all that creative. So today I’m bringing you some of the coolest and most creative Ikea hacks I can find. As always, please click through and pin from the source!
