Watermelon Strawberry Martini
This Watermelon Strawberry Martini has TONS of watermelon flavor with just a hint of strawberry to make it interesting.
Happy Monday!! It’s really not going to be a happy one for me, but I can day dream about having these delicious martinis when I get home. Because you know what today is??
It’s Nation Martini Day!! I know. I’m excited, too!! I can’t wait to share this one with you. It’s SOOOOOOOOOO good. Even the hubs said so.
Now, I have to admit that I didn’t have a martini or even knew what one was when I first met the hubs. I wasn’t a very “traveled” drinker. I could have 2 beers and be feeling pretty good. Of course, that’s still kind of true. I can have 3 now but nowhere near the number others can. I’m a lightweight.
I enjoy having a cocktail every now and then. Our cocktail of choice is usually scotch on the rocks. I know. That’s not a cocktail, but it’s what we call it. We also enjoy margaritas, old fashioneds, and a few others I can’t remember off the top of my head.
While I enjoy drinking cocktails, I struggle at trying to create them. I’m not sure how the flavors go together, what mixers to use. I just don’t know. Having not had a lot of different drinks means I have a bit of a handicap when it comes to mixing drinks.
But, I hope to overcome that with this delicious recipe right here! It’s a knock it out of the park type of drink and while it’s not my first hand at making a mixed drink, it’s probably the best one I’ve made that both of us have enjoyed.
And who wouldn’t enjoy that!? I mean, look at that gorgeous color! That’s full on watermelon flavor right there. I know there’s strawberry vodka in there, but it’s just a hint of flavor that truly enhances the watermelon flavor and not really stand out as strawberry on its own.
It’s perfectly refreshing and the best drink to have out on your patio, deck, or in your living room with the air conditioner running. It has summer all wrapped up in a delicious cocktail that’s not only simple to make, but one your guests will love!
Don’t you love those glasses? They’re not martini glasses. We don’t have those. We don’t drink martinis all that often and when we do, we just make them in highball glasses. It’s really funny about these though. I got one for a prop. And then the hubs comes up and plops the other one down on the counter. “If you’re getting one I want one, too! It’s my prop glass!” He cracks me up.
One could easily go through a whole large watermelon making these sucks. I’m just saying. Not that I know from experience or anything… But it’s definitely worth it! They’re so light and refreshing. They’re not overly sweet, and have that perfect watermelon flavor I was hoping for!

I don’t think I’ve ever made a martini. I’m happy to drink them though! This looks delicious!
Thank you! They were so refreshing.
Cheers!! This is a great way to relax at the end the day!
For sure!!
Remember that it is a cocktail if you drink it from a glass! LOL! Can’t wait to try these by the pool!
They would be perfect by the pool!!
2 of my favorite fruits: watermelon AND strawberries! YUM!
And they’re so delicious together!
I love a summer cocktail! When I lived in the midwest cocktails were king and an old fashion was my fav – but just looking at this makes me long for the beach – it looks like the perfect summer sip!
Agreed! It would be perfect by the beach.
This sounds amazing!! I didn’t even know there was such a thing as strawberry vodka! I need to find it and make this asap!
Thank you! Strawberry vodka is delicious! The one I found is Skyy. It was the only one that was strawberry only. The rest are berry, which will work just the same.
It’s 5 o’clock somewhere and I want this drink! Would definitely help me make it through my Monday! 😉
Thank you! I think I need a pitcher of these to get me through the week last week. It was horrid. Hope you made it through your Monday.
Such a fun summer cocktail! I’ve made watermelon margaritas, but not a martini! This looks delicious!
Thank you! They’re so delicious and go down easy.
This is so incredibly refreshing!! Love the “prop glass” 😀
Thank you!
Perfect for summertime sipping!
Thank you! It truly is.
This martini looks delicious and so refreshing for summer!
Thank you! It is so tasty. Even the hubs liked it.
Such an easy recipe. I can’t wait to try this. All that watermelon, it’s got to be super refreshing!
It was so very tasty! The watermelon tasted very refreshing.
I’ve wanted to make watermelon juice and now I have the perfect reason. This sounds delicious and I love the glassware.
Ellen, the glasses are from the Lakeridge winery/vineyard near Cleremont. Great place for a tour and free tasting.
This just screams summer refreshment! Now all I need is some watermelon…
Thank you! They were on sale at Walmart.
I’ve been making watermelon agua fresca recently in my neverending attempts to drink all fruit. Adding a little booze sounds great!
A little booze is always a good idea in my book.
That does sound so refreshing! Practically a serving of fruit in a cocktail! It’s practically health food =)
That’s a great way to look at it!!
I love that these use an entire 4 cups of fresh watermelon…YUM
Four cups makes just enough juice for two cocktails. I was surprised how little it made with such a large volume.
Christie, that is a beautiful drink! Thanks for sharing. I laughed about the prop glass and your husband. Mine are the same way – “Why is that in a pretty glass?”
We have so many prop dishes in the cabinet. He just uses them as regular dishes, not that mind, but I think it’s funny.
