Ah, Influenster. You never cease to amaze and enlighten me with all the products you send me to sample. This box is just another example of that.
After some rearranging, this is what is in this #voxbox:
Hershey Kisses Milk Chocolate Kisses
Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes
Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas (Creme Caramel and Lemon Chifon)
John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Flat Iron Spray
Boots Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask
Vaseline Men Spray Lotion
It’s thinner that I thought it would be. I thought it would be more of a clay type mask base, but it wasn’t. It was rather thin, but not too thin; almost a lotion consistency. It was really easy to apply. I put on a nice, thick layer so it was all green and I couldn’t see skin underneath.
Yes, I know this isn’t flattering, but S wouldn’t let me take his picture. *snort*
After about 10 or 15 minutes, it’s completely dry and light green. You can see parts of it dried already in this picture. Now, contrary to the directions, we used a wash cloth to clean our faces. Don’t do that. The clay may discolor the cloth. Just use a straight water rinse to remove the mask.
Once removed, there was no shine. And there wasn’t the rest of the day and part of the next. My T zone is pretty oily, so it didn’t last as long as I’d hoped, but, hey, at least it lasted a day.
Ah Hershey. What can I say that hasn’t already been said. Yes. I did share these kisses with the work folks. I still have a few left for some kitchen kreations. Just going to have to stay tuned to see what I do with them.
Now. I’m REALLY REALLY disappointed that I have these GLORIOUS samples from Red Rose and can’t find them at my grocery store. O.M.G. These things are the shiznit! I keep trying to get J to make tea cordials out of the caramel. I think they would taste AH-mazing!! It’s not a strong, fake caramel flavor. It’s just enough to get a taste without being overpowering like a caramel syrup.
And just when I thought I’d found a new fave tea, I tried this one. Lemon Chiffon. Where have you been all my life?? Holy WOW! I thought it would be like a lemon zinger type lemon. Oh no. It’s all sweet and mergingue-y in flavor. It truly does taste like lemon chiffon. I need to buy large quantities of this tea. It’s just… *speechless* Fabulous.
Yes. Those are MY ugly legs. As you can see, I did my due diligence in using the Vaseline Spray and Go lotion. My legs are dry. Like alligator dry. I usually put a thin coating of cocoa butter lotion on my legs before I get out of the shower. But this stuff? It’s pretty good!! I’m trying a compare with my usual method against the spray lotion. Let me take a peek and see how it’s looking…WOW! It’s actually giving the cocoa butter a run for it’s money! BUT the test will be tomorrow morning when I check again. I’m giving it 24 hours.
I’d highly recommend this with or without the results of today’s test. It’s easy to apply, lasts, has a nice light scent for a guy. S like it when I used it on his back and I keep forgetting to put some on in the AMs. Funny things about backs. You can’t really lotion them yourself. For this program, Vaseline has kindly offered a $2 coupon. Hopefully, you will try this or one of their other spray lotion products yourself. There’s plenty to chose from! There’s another coupon at Coupons.com.
Considering I’m always trying to get my hair more curly, I really didn’t try this one to it’s fullest potential. I did spray my hair with it a few days, but I didn’t dry it straight and I don’t have a flat-iron to try it out with. It did keep some frizz down from my curly hair, but I wasn’t going for the straight look. That is until today. I did dampen my hair, spray it, and straight combed it with the small tined comb. It’s straighter than usual on the day after washing. I’ll just leave it at that. Actually, E just asked if I straightened my hair, so I guess it works better than I can see? I have it in a straight pony low on my head. No, there’s no picture.
